Seeing as we have been members of this blog site since 2009 and have yet to add any posts, as the title suggests, I am going to post everything in this "nutshell" post. Honestly too many things have happened so I may miss something. Our adventure would obviously have to begin the day we met, which if I may say was a little awkward...but that about sums up our personalities :) We met in Glenwood apartments in Orem Utah in March of 2011. Reece was Kelsie's brother and I was Kelsie's roommate. Reece had just returned from his mission and I had just gotten out of a rough relationship, so boys were extremely low on my priorities. Reece seemed to assimilate himself rather well in our "Glenwood Group" which consisted of Kelsie and I's roommates, and a group of guy roommates down the hall. Our group spent a lot of time together and got a long really well. To tell the truth I was actually interested in one of the other guys in the group, but that's not important. The important thing was that Reece had his eye on me and I was absolutely not interested. In a way Reece was kind of my rebound after the guy I was interested in totally turned me down, but I have to say that I came out on top in the end. Our first "date" was at Nickelcade in Orem I use quotations because it started off as a group activity, but after our whole group had flaked out last minute it became a "date"....set up? I think so. We had spent time together at bonfires and other activities, but as I mentioned before I was not interested, I may have judged him too quickly when I believed he was just a stuck up "hot guy", but when I really knew that I could actually date Reece was when he took me and Kelsie salsa dancing and was so cute dancing with his sister and me. Anyway so short story shorter...we dated, he went to North Carolina for a couple months, and I went to Key West for three months. We came back dated some more and on August 20th 2011 in Mona Utah he proposed under a lamp post on a late night walk (he couldn't hold it in any longer and gave up on his big plan that he had, but I didn't care either way). We had Kristina (my sister @ kristinacurtisphotography.com) do our awesome engagement pictures at the state fair

And on November 4, 2011 We were married in the Manti Temple in Manti, Utah. I can honestly say it has been the best day of our lives so far.
Since then we have done everything from Honeymooning in Mexico
To crazy awesome Moab trips
Backpacking Calf Creek, family trip to San Diego, wild family road trip to Florida, going canyoneering in Alcatraz, Joanna graduating from Utah Valley University with her Bachelors degree, and of course our craziest adventure yet....moving to Texas City Texas. So sorry I am unable to post more pictures, but like I said too much has happened. Our life seems to be ever moving and there is no stopping it. Sometimes it is overwhelming witnessing Reece stressing over school and Me stressing over my job, but I know that all of this will all pay off in the end. I love this quote from Elder Heber J. Grant that says: "that which we persist in doing becomes easier. Not that the nature of the task has changed, but our ability to perform increases". All it takes is a little perseverance and will power, and obviously help from our Heavenly Father, and our ability to perform the tasks that are at hand will increase
As of current news Reece is still a full time student at College of the Mainland getting his Process Technology Degree and I am working as an Intake Officer for the Galveston County Juvenile Justice Center. We have currently adopted a smart and super cute dog named Daisy,
I am second counselor in the Relief Society down here in a new branch in Texas City, and Reece is the Sunday School President. Of course it doesn't stop there. We are currently planning on moving up to Alaska so Reece can finish up his schooling, so that more opportunities will arise when he applies for jobs at the slope (most northern "city" in Alaska). Please cross your fingers and pray for us in this new endeavor, as it will be the fastest way we will be able to return to Utah. ;) I hope you guys have enjoyed this "nutshell" post and don't worry I will try my hardest to keep up for those (if any) who follow this thread
Love the Nunez Family
